Gourouni- The Calydonian Boar

Hehehe.... I'm giving you guys a glimpse of the project I'll /hopefully/ be working on as soon as I find some skill.

So don't hold your breath. :3

Anyway, it's based off the children of Typhon and Echidna from Greek Mythology. Basically, their spirits hitch a ride with some mortals and well... the go have adventures and stuff. I haven't cleared that up yet, but this idea's been floating about in my head for about two years now, give or take. I couldn't find a good list of Typhon's kids, so I used my knowledge of Myths and a bit of personal preference to choose. I ended up including-

The "monsters" can manifest their "aura" in either the form of a weapon or in their own form. Each weapon is unique and has its own special, limited abilities. They can't manifest their aura on their own, but they require the "focus" of their host, who can either wield the weapon or "coat" themselves with the monster's form. The weapons, with exception of Gourouni, are all based off real weapons. Gourouni's basically just a big whacky thing with spikes.

They each also have their own greek letter.

So this the the hot-headed Calydonian Boar, Gourouni. He is based off a mixture of Boars and Buffalo. His host is an equally hot-headed old Irish man who I think I'm going to base off a mixture of General Burnside and Yosemite Sam.

Personality: Hot-headed, stubborn, and belligerent, Gourouni will go out of his way to seek a good fight. He loves the taste of battle has no fear of getting sliced up in the process. He prefers melee combat, and considers ranged and long weapons to be cowardly and dishonorable (not that he's above using them himself). He is quick to point out the faults in others, but not so about himself. He will stick by his choice, and won't ever, ever admit that it might be wrong. He has quite a foul mouth at times, and can cuss colorfully in seven different languages. He is the only member of the group who is Multilingual, and speaks almost all Romance languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Latin) fluently. He also knows a smattering of German and Chinese. His skill with languages suggests that he is quite intelligent, despite his warlike bluntness.

Abilities: Like his siblings, he has limited regenerative abilities. He is immensely strong and surprisingly fast, thanks to his long legs. He can charge at blinding speeds, but is horrible at taking turns or fighting in confined spaces. He can stiffen his bristles to make them sharp as needles before firing them haphazardly everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Even the allies get it!

In his weapon form, he is capable of crushing nearly anything and can fire the spikes from the tip. The fired spikes are just as uncontrollable as ever and generally hits everyone except the person wielding the club. He is extremely heavy, and the only one who can even use his weapon form is his host.
